During our art exhibition on Thursday 27th June, staff and students voted the creative work of Stephen Appleyard, Keely Cross, Poppy Letchford-Dobbs, Ashleigh Elliot and Callum Welsh through to the Above and Beyond Art Exhibition final.
On Tuesday 16th July 2013 winners from the Academy along with finalists from Winifred Holtby Academy, Andrew Marvell Business and Enterprise College and Malet Lambert School displayed their work at the prestigious Ferens Art Gallery in the city centre.

The standard of art displayed by students from the four schools was outstanding. The spirit of Above and Beyond was reflected throughout the exhibition. The art work was grouped into two age groups; 11-14 and 15-18. The students, parents, staff and special guests who were invited to the exhibition voted for their preferred art work. Students from Andrew Marvell won the 11-14 age group with their fantastic Alice in Wonderland fantasy art sculpture. Our very own Ashleigh Elliot took first place in the 15-18 category with her photography piece Gluttony and Beyond.Ashleigh Elliot, 15-18 age group winner from Archbishop Sentamu Academy
Congratulations to all the schools and students who took part in the event. The hard work and effort really paid off. A special well done to our 6th Form students Stephen, Keely, Poppy, Ashleigh and Callum for making it to the final. We are really proud of you!
