ASA Joins ‘Voice in a Million’

ASA Joins ‘Voice in a Million’
20th November 2012 admin
A ‘Voice in a Million’ was formed 2 years ago as an organisation aiming to raise awareness of children in the care system. It  allows students to join together to raise awareness through music, taking their music to arenas around the country. The Orphans Christmas Wish made its way to Hull today, on November the 20th 2012.

With the help of Mr Elliott and Ms Foster, the Singing Group learned 15 songs in only two and a half weeks. A total of 17 rehearsals made their contribution to tonight’s concert possible. The group has demonstrated the utmost resilience and dedication over the last couple of weeks, giving up much of their free time to rehearse and practice. Thanks to the group’s dedication, the challenge was met and gave a professional, amazing performance as part of a 200 strong choir.

The students have gained invaluable performance experience and Mr Elliot and Ms Foster commented on how they have witnessed the students growth in confidence.

The singing group will be bringing their experience to ASA on December 13th, as they perform at the Christmas concert 2012, which will happen on the same night as the Christmas Market. Please contact the Academy for more details.

Meanwhile, the next challenge for the choir is to learn the same number of songs again, in preparation for their trip to Wembley Arena in March. Further details to follow.

If any students would like to be a part of this please see Mr Elliott.

Until then Enjoy the run up Christmas.
