The Food for Life Partnership is a network of schools and communities across England committed to transforming food culture. Their objective is to revolutionise school meals, reconnect children and young people with where their food comes from, and to inspire families to grow and cook food. The Food for Life Partnership offers 3 awards for schools for their efforts in transforming food culture within their school (Bronze, Silver and Gold).
The areas that at covered in these awards are: Food Leadership and School Food Culture Food Quality and Provenance (delivered in partnership with our caterer) Food Education Community and Partnerships
These messages are much wider than what makes a good diet but include developing life skills like cooking and learning about the environment and animal welfare. In schools we not only help create the consumers of the future, but we help create young people’s expectations about good food and support the development of the skills and healthy behaviours they need as they grow up to be successful.
