The Link2Learn Awards celebrate excellence and innovation in international school partnerships. The competition is run by the British Council and supported by HSBC Global Education Programme.
Entrants are required to submit a description of their international school partnership work and examples of evidence regarding the impact of the international dimension in their school.
Archbishop Sentamu Academy received a ‘Highly Commended’ recommendation in the ‘International Secondary School of the Year’, which we won in 2010. In 2012 we are once again recognised for the international programme of learning and events in place, including those in partnership with our link schools in China, Poland, Sierra Leone, Argentina and Papua New Guinea. Students not only learn about these schools, countries and cultures as part of the curriculum and with Focus Fortnights, but with House links and a number of visits in both directions too.
