This month we were lucky enough to be able to exchange project work and letters with our partner school in Sierra Leone.
FSSG is a huge all girls secondary school in Freetown, Sierra Leone. It has 3000 students. There is no reliable postage service in Sierra Leone therefore we usually rely on sending shipments every term. Unfortunately this takes some time to get there. Therefore it was really nice to be able to write to link school students about things that are happening now and that are still relevant when FSSG receive them.
Our Student Community Ambassadors wrote letters and Byland house (which is linked with FSSG) prepared mini-project about themselves, their lives and the local area called ‘My Profile and Hull’. It also provided the Principal with the opportunity to write directly to the FSSG Principal Mrs Davies.
Thanks to our contacts at Global School Partnerships (GSP) for taking across our communications. We look forward to receiving their replies and exchange work.
